Last Tuesday, popular children’s author Sally Rippin, visited PLC. The Melbourne resident and author of the very popular Billie B Brown series was in Sydney for the Sydney Writers’ Festival, and kindly took time out to come and talk to students in Years 2 and 3. Sally’s books are read avidly by students from Kindergarten to Year 3, and more than 150 copies of her books were sold on the day.
Sally told the students that the Billie B Brown stories were based on events that happened to her when she was a child. She also told them that she has a new series of books coming out in September for older students – the Billie B Brown mysteries.
